Shadows

  • Bainbridge Arts & Crafts (map)

Explore dramatic shadows cast by the paintings, photographs, and glass in our March exhibition. Some people think that shadows are an absence of light while others think they are holes in the light. Shadows can dance or stand still, but only for a short time. Time is not usually a friend to shadows—but our artists have captured them and won’t let them go. Featuring artists including Denis Rogers, Karin Schminke, Christian Carlson, Gretchen Hancock, Sydni Sterling, Colleen Meacham, Ken Smith, Kay Walsh, Art Grice, Gigi Godfrey, Brandy Agun, Claudia McKinstry, and Darby Guerechit.

Show opening is Friday, March 7th, 6–8pm

This April, celebrate springtime with us at Bainbridge Arts & Crafts, where the April exhibition, Gardens & Gadgets, is inspired by the season. Seeds, plants, gloves and tools: You can’t plant a garden without these items...unless, of course, you’re an artist, in which case you reach for paint, ink, clay, or glass to create your unique gardens. Come to BAC this April and experience the beauty and charm of springtime. Featuring artworks by local and regional artists including Erica Applewhite, Dan Barnett, Marceil DeLacy, Jeanne Marie Ferraro, Lee Campbell, Liz Gamberg, Katy Gilmore, Diane Haddon, Ernie Hilsenberg, Jan Hurd, Leigh Knowles, Beth Moga, and Chris Witkowski.

Join us at the show opening on First Friday, April 4 from 6–8 p.m. at the gallery.
