Intermediate Photography Workshop and Critique with Joel Sackett and Art Grice

Saturday October 29 and November 5, from 1-3:30 pm.

Art Grice and Joel Sackett, two professional photographers with many years working in commercial, editorial, and fine art formats, will lead the two part workshop.

The workshop will be focused on the interests, ideas, and ongoing photography projects of its participants. Attendees should already know how to use their cameras and have some experience making images.

Participants are expected to bring 6 to 12 new 8X10 work prints to class each week. All participants are encouraged to join in the critique of other’s images.

For the purpose of this class, a photograph is a physical print. We won’t be looking at images on iPhones, or laptops.

Discussions will revolve around topics such as; what makes a successful photograph or series of photographs, and how to edit and organize a project.  Selections from the history of photography related to the projects at hand will be discussed.

The cost of the class is $230 and space is limited, from 6 to10 students.
