Messages from the Land:
A Collaboration between Bainbridge Island Land Trust and Bainbridge Arts & Crafts
Ten Kitsap County artists approach Nature looking for inspiration, challenge, and insight and then deftly translate their messages from the land using woodcarving, painting, printmaking, photography, and weaving.
David Franklin, Gregory Glynn, Diana Liljelund, Kathleen McKeehen, Elizabeth Moga, Kristin Tollefson, Kay Walsh, Melinda West, Sue Skelly, and Ellen Wixted.
Gillian Bull has traveled around the world but continues to be inspired by familiar Northwest landscapes. Whether working in oil, pastel, gouache, or a combination of media, her paintings are an emotional response to the land.
Ceramic artist Nana Kuo brings a contemporary touch to classic Asian forms and traditional glazes. Born in Taiwan, Nana came to Seattle in 1991 after living in Austin. She writes, “My goal is very simple – to create beautiful things that look good, feel good, and are useful in daily life.”
