About Us

Founded in 1948 by a group of Bainbridge Island artists, BAC has a proud history as the first visual arts organization on Bainbridge Island and one of the very first in Washington State.

We are also a nonprofit art gallery, which means that we put every bit of our income toward our mission: to encourage the creation and appreciation of fine contemporary art and craft by exhibiting and selling the work of Northwest artists, and by offering art education to a county-wide audience of all ages.
