“New York” by Colleen Meacham, featured in the March exhibition
Shadows
Join us this month to explore dramatic shadows cast by the paintings, photographs, and glass in our March exhibition, open March 7–30. Some people think that shadows are an absence of light while others think they are holes in the light. Shadows can dance or stand still, but only for a short time. Time is not usually a friend to shadows—but our artists have captured them and won’t let them go.
Featuring artists including Denis Rogers, Karin Schminke, Christian Carlson, Gretchen Hancock, Sydni Sterling, Colleen Meacham, Ken Smith, Kay Walsh, Art Grice, Gigi Godfrey, Brandy Agun, Claudia McKinstry, and Darby Guerechit.

Open Mon-Sat 10-6 + Sun 11-5
Our History
In January 1948, a news item in the Bainbridge Island Review invited interested adults to attend a meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Hodges. The purpose of the meeting? To discuss the formation of a nonprofit to "provide creative activity for the Bainbridge Island community." Today, we are still that nonprofit, and so much more.
How We Serve
Bainbridge Arts and Crafts is a nonprofit gallery that brings free art education and outreach to communities across Kitsap County. We are one of the region’s largest nonprofit galleries, supporting the livelihood of more than 200 Northwest artists while serving close to 10,000 youth, adults, and seniors each year through more than 100 free programs—inside and outside of the gallery space.
How You Can Join the Fun
Bainbridge Arts and Crafts is all about community, positive impact, and yes, fun! There are many ways to get involved and receive all sorts of benefits, both tangible and intangible. Shop at our gallery, join us for artist talks and demonstrations, take a class, donate, volunteer, become a member. We invite you to make Bainbridge Arts and Crafts yours—to make art your own.
